Anjuna flea market is an open flea market from sunrise to sunset only on Wednesdays. The flea market was started a few decades ago by the needy hippies who would sell of their meager belonging to survive a few more days in Goa or to make a money for their ticket to head back home. Earlier, this flea market was organized on a small area of the beach, but now it extends from the golden shores of the beach to the paddy fields with plenty of stalls. Today this popular market is the biggest attraction for tourist specially if you are shopping for souvenirs, handicraft etc.
